My husband and myself really enjoyed our time at the cottage! We were in Weaverville to visit with our son and his future wife to view the land that they are purchasing. We have stayed in other accommodations in and around Asheville- but this little home is far better than any place we have stayed before! Clean, comfortable beds, pet friendly, beautiful views despite the construction, a fully useable kitchen, and beautifully decorated! We just love this whole area. The town of Weaverville is like being in a Hallmark movie! We had a great dinner at the Main Street Grill, awesome breakfast at Well-Bred, with desserts to go, and Sunday brunch at the Stony Knob Cafe! Great food- and we are definite foodies!! The hometown Christmas Parade with over 80 floats (sad to say we missed it). Took us 10 minutes to get into Asheville to go to Earthfare ....a fantastic grocery store with grass fed local meats and local produce! An experience in itself! Just so much to do in this area. Because of our short visit- we were not able to enjoy more activities re: hiking. So close to the Pisgah National Forest- Biltmore Estate-white water rafting-etc....Looking forward to our return in the Springtime to stay at the cottages!

This is our third mountain home rental. Every year we make the trip from Upstate NY and spend time with our daughter who lives in Charlotte. Each year we have enjoyed our stay and this was no exception. The size is deceiving from the outside. The cottage was as clean, fresh and cozy as one could imagine. The beds were beyond comfortable giving you a totally restful night. My dog was a huge consideration and they even had clean petbowls and feed mat not to mention little red doggie bags for pet waste. The only item in the kitchen which was lacking was a potato masher so we bought and left one. Other than that they supplied your basic needs. And having two and one half baths for the three of us was a bonus. It was convenient for all our day trips to Asheville and Greenville. Our family recommends it highly. And kudos to the cleaning staff. You take the worry out of staying in a strangers home.

The cottage was everything advertised and beautiful. Very Clean and seemed brand new. The only cons would be no counter space in the downstairs bathroom and no TV in the second bedroom. Still because of the cleanliness and condition of everything we would stay again and would recommend this to anyone staying in the Ashville area and give it 5 Stars!

Three of us enjoyed our stay immensely. We had a 3 night stay in order to plan for an upcoming wedding in the Asheville area next summer. The two bedroom cottage was immensely clean, comfortable, and lovely inside and out. It was central in location to all the vendors we needed to meet. Finding a home that truly is as it appears depicted in the owner's photographs is always a welcomed relief. The information notebook was a great source of information and we used it to try out a few places but wish we had more days to explore some others that were recommended. We trekked to the Brevard area to visit a few of our favorite waterfalls. Weaverville is just outside of Asheville, but a close jaunt from the interstate. Grocer and gas just minutes away. Lovely place, well done. I recommend highly.

The downtown Weaverville area is great - quaint and good local restaurants. We will be back for sure!

We came to Weaverville for a wedding but we got so much more! It was a wonderful family weekend, and the Frisco and Roxy cottages provided a comfortable means for some impromptu get-togethers. We spanned generations, and everyone enjoyed the setting. Each room is very nicely decorated, the amenities were great , and the cottage was beyond clean. Additionally, the bedrooms provided a very fulfilling sleep in some of the most comfortable beds, and pillows that were just right. We really didn't know what to expect, but after staying at Pleasant Grove Cottages for 4 lovely evenings, we agree that any expectations we had were more than exceeded. We highly recommend this property and, given the opportunity, we would definitely stay there again!

This was our first VRBO rental and the bar has been set very high! The owners are attentive to detail and extremely helpful. We spent a lovely 4 day extended weekend visiting the Blue Ridge Mountains, Mount Mitchell, Biltmore Estate and a few of the lovely restaurants that Weaverville has to offer. And if that isn't inspiration enough, you have a beautiful view of the lovely horse farm across the street offering the most peaceful setting. For an admitted electronic junkie family, we relaxed so much during our stay, we stopped using our phones and the TV and just listened to the music channels. It felt like a home away from home and you cannot help but relax in this cozy home. Highly recommended and I cannot wait to come back again!

We love Asheville and this was our 2nd vacation here in as many years. Last year we stayed in Leicester, which we found to be too far away from everything. Pleasant Grove Cottages was in a PERFECT location. Only minutes to Weaverville and just a few more to Asheville, yet once you arrive you have amazing views and a country like setting; nice and quiet too! We arrived to a spotless home and everything was ready for us (even food/water bowls for our dog). We’ve stayed at many VRBO homes and this is one of the best, if not THE best. What’s so great you ask? 1) Beds and sheets were top quality, along with all furnishings and appliances; very nicely and thoughtfully decorated 2) Layout; I liked that the living space was upstairs and took the best advantage of the views. The bedrooms downstairs had nice views too though. And the windows are nice and big so you can always see the view unless you are in the bathroom. 3) Little things were provided that make a big difference: salt, pepper, spices, ketchup, mustard, paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, coffee filters that fit the coffee pot, dishwashing soap… small, I know, but it’s SO nice to not have to buy all this stuff when you’re traveling. 4) It’s private. I thought I’d mention this because the house is a duplex. The layout affords you to sit on the deck and not see any of your neighbors. We almost never saw or heard our neighbors and it felt like we had the whole property to ourselves (and we had multiple neighbors the week we stayed). 5) I enjoyed reading the guest book and using others’ experiences to help steer us to worthwhile restaurants and things to do. Stoney Knob Café was one of those and it was wonderful. Other houses have the same kind of book, but people actually took the time to detail some suggestions here and it was nice. 6) No key to lose, the doors have coded entrances. The only problem we had was on our last day… we had to leave. We’re hoping if the owners ever decide to sell, they call us first. We loved it that much!

Owner Response: Thank you Rance for such a detailed review. It means so much to hear that you appreciated and enjoyed our cottage! Please come back and see us soon.

The cottage was exactly what the it promised and probably more! It had everything we needed and was very cozy, clean and beautiful, and the area was quiet and so relaxing. We enjoyed our meals out on the balcony which had an amazing view. We even used the very clean and easy to use barbecue grill. The fireflies at night put on an amazing show for us. Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway were close by and so worth visiting. It was very easy to rent and the owner was quick to respond to any questions. I truly hope I have the opportunity to visit this beautiful place again, and I will absolutely want to stay at Pleasant Grove Cottages. I highly recommend this beautiful place!

We had an extremely wonderful visit at Pleasant Grove Cottage. Sue & Joe were super hostesses and accommodated our needs. The cottage was well stocked & met all our needs. It was new & updated and easy to get find. Close to restaurants & shops but still out far enough to be quiet & comfortable. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!

Owner Response: Sheryl, We are so glad you liked our cottage and Congrats on your new home in this beautiful area! All the very best to you and your family!

The cottages are beautiful and spacious and offer an incredible view. I loved waking up and seeing the horses in the pasture one lot over and having coffee on the deck overlooking the mountains. Everything was clean and everything we needed from a coffee maker to a washing machine was at our disposal. I had wondered if there would be noise from the neighbors in the duplex, but we didn't have any problems! It's close enough to both downtown Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway that I never had to go far. All-in-all I had an excellent stay, would love to go back, and would definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a great mountain getaway!
